The older the home, the more likely that nailing pattern will acquire corrections. While having the roof deck exposed all reinforcement of structure in trusses will be made to prevent sagging or soft spots.

Application of Glas Felt #75 - primarily used as the base layer on flat roofs. #75 Base Sheet is constructed with a strong glas mat coated on both sides to to prevent asphalt bleed-through. The #75 Base Sheet also serves as a flame retarter for torch down or hot asphalt applications. This ply is suitable for nailable specifications such as plywood. This Base Sheet is fastened using required applications; typically a ring shank nail set with a tin cap.

Application of required metals - Primarily used to seal side walls, chimneys, perimeters, heater units, parapet walls, skylights, etc. therefore ensuring a water tight seal and preventing lift of prior membrane applications on critical roof components.

Application of selected insulation products. PolyISO insulation boards made of organic glass facers bonded to a core of foam. Insulation boards are typically set on hot asphalt and are designed for use over structural roof decks meeting required "R" values. The option to install insulation will greatly help in insulating against heat, therefore providing the homeowner with energy efficiency. Such Insulations may also be followed by installing a Stratavent base sheet to provide venting of pressurized gases beneath the roofing membranes.

Ply IV Felt: Glasply4 is constructed with strong glas fiber mat coated with the finest asphalt, furthermore it is also designed with optimum porosity to assure a watertight application. This ply if set using hot asphalt directly over prior membrane applications. Each layer of Plyglas 4 is set using required Dade County approved overlaps.

Installation of Cap Sheet ply. Mineral Surface Cap Sheet is used as the surfacing ply on hot asphalt applications. The granules on this mineral ply will resist the effects of moisture on the roofing system. This ply will also maintain a protective surface and will require no additional coating. Such ply is installed using hot asphalt and obtaining required code over laps directly over th Glasply 4.
